I was very much anticipating the arrival of this little guy. I have to say, he has earned my most well-behaved newborn award. From the moment I stepped inside their house, he was sound asleep. He let me move and adjust him into cute curly poses without a peep. At only four days old, he looks absolutely beautiful. Here are a couple of images from the session today. I can’t wait to post more.

Meet Baby Phoenix. The newest member of one of my favorite families. You can see them here and here. This little mellow fellow really melts my heart and, if I wasn’t already pregnant, would surely give me a bad case of baby fever.

I really do love all my newborn sessions, but I left this one with a smile on my face. It was as close to perfection as I could get. A beautiful family, beautiful sleepy baby, gorgeous house, and great conversation to boot!. Here are some highlights from my dream session.

I pretty much squeal with delight whenever I have a session with a newborn girl. For some reason, I have gotten a huge influx of boys over the past months. It’s so refreshing to have someone to model my girly props for once. I also love girls. They are always so mellow. And this little girl was no exception. She was delightful. I don’t remember her crying once, and just look how squishy she is! I am in love with her big poppo cheeks.

Big brother was also a doll. He was so good with his baby sister.

Unless parents are looking for something specific, I usually try to take a variety of shots for every newborn session. This family’s house had beautiful directional lighting; perfect for some moody black and white portraits. That’s what I feel when I look at these images. Little two week old N is blessed to have been born into such a loving family. I can already tell he’s going to be a Daddy’s Boy from the way he settled right down in Dad’s arms. Congrats A family, He’s just perfect. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.
