I took this little guy’s newborn pictures six whole months ago. It amazes me how a few months can turn a sleepy, curly newborn into a bouncy, expressive little boy. Since his six month session fell into the holiday season, we decided to add some Christmas flair to the session. Here is just a sneak peek for the family.

These little girls are about as sugary and spicy as they come. I love evening light when the sun is peeking through the trees. It creates such a warm glow over everything; just enough magical light to make even a subdivision look like a whimsical garden.

I met this beautiful little girl this morning. Today was her first birthday and what better way to celebrate than a photo shoot! I can honestly say that there are few babies prettier than this little one. She has a natural pixie haircut and eyelashes to die for.

10 week old “B” has the most charming smile. And as long as someone was playing with her feet, she would show it off. She’s the cousin to this little guy. Her family was in town this week so they decided to schedule a session while they were here. I’m so glad they did too. It seems every person in this extended family is extremely photogenic… and that makes my job easy.

This one was actually a happy accident. I was metering the light as they were cheering “B” up. I usually delete these right away but this one really caught my eye. But I’m also a sun flare addict.

It’s always a pleasure to watch the children of my returning clients grow and change with each session. This family was my first maternity session. I also photographed Baby R as a newborn and now I’ve been able to capture him at 6 months old. The first time he saw me at the start of the session, he cracked the biggest smile for me. I instantly fell in love. He has the brightest blue eyes that always seem to sparkle. As always, I had so much fun spending a lovely saturday evening with this family.

We used this same red wrap for his mother’s maternity shoot.
